Today I'm off to London with an exchange program with the Royal Academy of Music three other friends and I were selected for earlier this year. The first part of the exchange has been for the past week in Nashville where we've been having workshops exploring the kinds of the sounds we can make on our instruments. I've been working along side Peter Sheppard-Skaerved, David Gorton, Carter Callison, Tzara Kuubarsi, Macek Burdzy from RAM, and Michael Rose, Michael Slayton, Sean Calhoun, Matt Lammers, and my doppelgänger Audrey Lee from Vanderbilt. They are ALL brilliant minds and musicians that is has been a pleasure working with and getting to know.
You can read a little more on my colleague, Peter's page here and listen to some sound bytes! It's been an exciting week and I'm very much looking forward to this next week across the pond. It's going to be a great trip. I'm going with some old friends and some new and we're going to keep working on making meaningful music. So some pretty cool stuff. I'll be sure to post some photos of my travels and keep you all updated.
